Golf Course Etiquette and Rules

  • Fivesome
    • Tiffany Greens Golf Club members can play in groups of five, but no more than five.
    • Please inform the golf shop staff if you intend to play a fivesome.
    • Fivesomes must maintain a pace of play of 4 hours and 15 minuets (or 4.5 hours on cart paths).
    • Failure to adhere to the pace of play guidelines may result in the restriction of fivesome play.
  • Dress Code
    • Proper dress is required for all players.
    • Men
      • Collared shirts or mock neck shirts, slacks and golf shorts
    • Women
      • Skirts, slacks, golf shorts, and skorts; blouses and collarless shirts
    • Shoes
      • All golf shoes must have non-metal spikes!
    • No Denim
    • T-SHIRTS ARE NOT CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE ATTIRE!!
  • Cancellation & Weather
    • Cancellations before 6 hours:
      • Cancel online anytime
    • Cancellations within 6 hours:
      • Call the golf shop first (during normal operating hours).
      • After calling golf shop (during normal operating hours) then you may email dloudner@tiffanygreensgolf.com to inform that you are cancelling to avoid no-show fee.
      • No need to cancel for inclement weather.
        • Management will determine course closure.
    • Temperature needs to be 40 degrees or above for course to allow play
  • No Show
    • If you no-call, no-show for your tee time, a 50% fee will be charged to your account for the green fee and cart rental.
      • 50% of green fee and cart rental for that tee time if it was purchased by public.
    • Incomplete Foursomes
      • Booking a foursome and showing up with less than three players will result in three warnings.
      • After that, no-show fees will be applied for missing players.
    • Avoid no-show fees by calling to updated us about your group downsizing to solo or twosome
      • May email dloudner@tiffanygreensgolf.com if no one answers the phone (during normal operating hours).
    • For group tee times, one person (the group leader) must be designated as the contact person responsible for the reservation.
      • This fee will be applied to the group leader’s account.
  • Pairing Up
    • Tiffany Greens Golf Club may pair groups to form foursomes to maintain pace of play.
    • Solo golfers or twosomes may be paired with other golfers.
    • Single-rider carts may be available for an additional fee.
  • Extra Cart / Passenger
    • Extra carts may not always be available.
    • An additional fee will apply for extra carts to accommodate extra passengers.
    • Single-rider carts may be available for an additional fee.
  • Course Guidelines and Rules
    • Proper golf attire is expected. See Dress Code for details.
    • Must have a valid Driver license to drive golf cart
    • Foursomes have priority and what we will use to judge pace of play
      • Groups may be paired at discretion of Starter / Golf Shop to form foursomes
      • Pace of Play: 4 hours 15 mins is considered the acceptable pace for a foursome on busy days when carts are allowed off paths, 4 hours and 30 minutes is the standard when required to stay on paths.
        • If a group loses the distance of one hole and is not keeping pace with above times they should first, try speed up and close the gap, and if this is not possible, they should allow groups behind to play through as necessary to keep play moving.
        • Fast play is an equally serious problem. Groups should maintain their position on the golf course without either holding up behind or pressuring those in front.
        • Singles and twosomes and threesomes should maintain the pace above and not expect to go through every group.
        • Slow play or fast play violations are both considered serious infractions of unacceptable course etiquette.
    • U.S.G.A. Rules govern all play except where amended local rules and conditions specify otherwise.
    • If lightning is in area, play at your own risk.
      • No horn will be blown
    • Repair all ball marks promptly upon reaching the green.
    • The golf course may not be used for any other purpose other than playing golf. Fishing, playing games, riding bicycles, etc. on the golf course is prohibited.
      • If you see something going on please call the golf shop and or tell the next staff member you see on the course
        • Beverage Cart Attendant, Player Assistant / Marshall, Outside Cart Attendant, etc.
      • No unauthorized vehicles shall be driven on the golf course or surrounding grounds
